WAS THE SHOOTING death of Bernadene Spooner a follow-up to a foiled break-in two weeks ago?
That is the question residents of Syndicate Road, Bush Hall, St Michael, were asking yesterday, as they tried to come to grips with the murder of the “lil’ neat woman”.
Spooner, 40, was gunned down outside her home on Thursday night, just after she got out of a vehicle which brought her home from work at the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation, where she operated the canteen.
Residents said they heard a gunshot just before 8 p.m., but they did not look out. Some say they eventually looked out when they heard the oldest of Spooner’s three daughters screaming. (YB)
