Wunna now wait tuh complain? So why now? Man look, all o’ wunna could complain as much as wunna like, not one thing aint gine change when it comes tuh dem minibuses and ZR vans unless the Government enforce the law tuh stop dem and all o’ the lot o’ foolishness dat dem does do, once and fuh all.
Look, dem people know full well dat it is nothing more than a lotta hot air ’cause dem does control things pon the road and not a boy don’t, won’t and can’t tell dem nutten.
Leh me tell you something, when I read dat article in the Saturday paper wid the headline, Music Shame, I start tuh respond tuh it like if the people who was talking or who got interviewed coulda hear me.
I aint telling you nuh lie; I was reading and answering back the people and the comments they were making. Doan leh nobody fool you, nutten doan just happen, it is the people who have tuh make it happen.
Leh we look at it this way. Now ya got the society, (people) the police, and the courts that are all responsible in some way or the other tuh help bring order tuh this society.
Now we know dat if the very society (people) doan cooperate wid the police, nuh crime cahn really get solved in a hurry; the public does have tuh respect the police and you know why I say so?
Well fuh one, I could remember the many times when the police was making the owners o’ these vans, take the stereos and such like outta duh vehicles and the people was up in arms.
Then, another thing is this; whenever a police officer stop an overloaded van and make people get out, fuh duh own safety hear?
The people does turn loose a cussing pon the police; dat aint nuh respect. Then a lot o’ people does get into these vans and see the drivers and conductors doing a lot o’ foolishness all along the roads, breaking all the traffic laws while dem sit down, get vex and grumble but if the police summuch as start tuh write dem up, doan say a word cause you gine get cuss out too.
Now when the police eventually enforce the law and as we say, report some o’ these lawless young people and duh get haul before the law courts, the lil sentences dat dem does get is nothing tuh stop dem from doing the same thing all ovah again, all the time. I think dat the sentences got tuh be stiffer fuh these law-breakers tuh be made examples of.
But how in the name o’ God the sentences could be stiffer if the people in Government only keep talking and pussy-footing round it all the time while these people drive bout and do as duh please wid-out any kinda regard or respect fuh other people, in or outside o’ dem vans?
Look how many years this sort o’ thing did going on and some o’ the people who have tuh use these vans have been complaining but it like it aint enough tuh make nuh kinda change or difference.
I think dat some o’ the Government officials, if dem really want tuh do something bout this whole mini bus and ZR culture, should make it a point tuh take an occasional ride pon a mini bus or ZR van evah suh often, tuh observe how this culture does operate and listen tuh some o’ the types o’ music dat some o’ dem does got blaring nuh matter who in the van . . . be it man, woman, child or beast.
But ya know something though? Some o’ these very people who complaining bout the nasty demeaning lyrics and loud blaring music, use tuh always ride pon the vans but it is only now dat some o’ dem got children who gine school and might have tuh ride pon the very vans wid dem, dat duh realise how sickening it really is.
Look, it aint dat they had stopped playing the music ya know, it just get louder, more sickening, wunna get older, become parents and with less tolerance fuh crap.
Another things is this, look, I gine tell you fuh a fact, dat some o’ these very people who complaining would stand up and let a Transport board bus fly pass dem almost empty but would prefer tuh get in a mini bus or ZR van dat ram-off, wid the music hollering fuh murder while putting their lives in danger when the buses start tuh do all kinds o’ Bushy Park car moves pon the roads.
So the only way this sort o’ thing gine done once and fuh all is when all o’ wunna start respecting the police, the courts start tuh put on some heavy fines pon dem and the Government get serious and come tuh a decision to stamp all o’ the lawlessness.
