The Barbados Fire Service was out in full force yesterday.
It was the organisation’s 56th annual week of activities which began with a church service and march past at the historic St Andrew Parish Church.
Attorney General and Minister of Home Affairs Adriel Brathwaite headed the list of worshippers at the service conducted by Reverend Allan Jones.
Jones reminded those gathered that service came from the heart.
“We are all called to serve and we can follow the example of Jesus who lived to serve others. For it is only God’s grace that allow us to share and serve others.”
Also in attendance were Senator Irene Sandiford-Garner, members of the Barbados Defence Force, Barbados Coast Guard and the Prison Service.
Following the service Brathwaite took the salute. (RL)
