GENERAL SECRETARY of the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) Dennis Clarke is alert.
News of Clarke’s improvement was shared with the general council of the NUPW which met in an emergency meeting at the union’s headquarters earlier today.
President Walter Maloney said there was nothing “contentious”, and that the meeting lasted for less than an hour.
The meeting was called to officially inform the council about Clarke’s condition, which has shown some improvement.
“We continue to pray that he comes through as soon as possible,” Maloney stated.
Clarke remains in the Intensive Care Unit of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) for an undisclosed illness. He was taken to the QEH last week Wednesday. (YB)
