Yesterday was a special day of learning for students of the Garrison Secondary School, as professionals educated the students on the different career paths open to them after leaving school.
On a day billed Career Showcase, the clamouring students were given insights into jobs such as event planning, accounting, disc jockeying, acting and writing, epoxy coating, firefighting, quantity surveying, light aircraft piloting, lensmaking, policing and entrepreneurship.
The students had an enjoyable time getting out of daily classes and learning about work that doesn’t involve a blackboard and chalk. (SM)
