PARAMARIBO, Suriname – Four people, including the son of a local shipping magnate, were killed when the speedboat in which they were occupants crashed against a pontoon near Overbridge River Resort on Sunday.
The authorities named the dead persons as Ravin Pahladsingh, the son of shipping magnate Radjen Pahladsingh; Daniel Ramawadoebe and Shaief Jahangier.
Police were still searching for the body of the fourth unidentified person on Monday.
