A couple had to be quarantined for four days after receiving mail suspected to be laced with anthrax.
The incident triggered a response from the police, Fire Service, forensic lab and the Ministry of Health’s Environmental Unit.
The letter was removed by a special response team for analysis, while the couple were examined and given medication by a doctor at the Randall Phillips Polyclinic in Oistins.
They were told to remain in their home for observation for four days, and not to mingle with anyone during that period. Both had to miss work, church and other activities.
