Anthony Ramon Archer in the LIME 4G/Nissan Pulsar will no doubt be looking for better luck when the curtain comes down on the Barbados Association of Dragsters and Drifters season with Twisted Drag Warz 6 at Bushy Park today.
The event is scheduled to run from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Archer is third in the standings with 408 points, behind leader Benjamin Eastmond in his Daihatsu Charmant on 434 points and Jason Downey in a Toyota RunX (431).
And as if to heighten the level of competition and excitement, Dwight Alleyne in his Dennis Heath-prepared Subaru WRX Sti is waiting in the wings in fourth place with 404 points, make it extremely difficult to predict a winner.
Preparations in all camps are at an advanced stage and racing fans are in for a treat.
Among the drivers to watch are Dwayne White who has a newly built Toyota Corolla AE 86; Michael Carter in the newly turbocharged Surf Shack/Area 5 Honda Civic; and Steve Bruce in the Belleville Motor Oils/Mitsubishi Evo III, who has been busy correcting gearbox problems which plagued his last outing.
Corey Stanford in a Toyota Corolla AE 86 and Matthew Forde in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III will also face the starter.
Also entered are drivers such as Noel Pilgrim in his unpredictable Shell Top Rock/Mitsubishi Galant VR 4; Kevin Griffith in a well-prepared Suzuki Swift GTi; Chris Hinds in the Rezult Auto/Toyota Starlet; Richard Rawlins in a Mitsubishi Colt; and Russell Yearwood in a Honda Civic.
In addition, much is expected of Shawn Field in a Toyota Corolla, Roger Lindo in the quick Biz Needz Toyota Starlet, and Dave Harris in a potent Nissan Sentra.
Only tickets for the grounds will be sold, as the clubhouse will be used for another function.
