Seven people are now homeless after an early morning fire today.
The house, owned by 88-year-old Elneta Jones of Lennox Avenue, Goodland, St Michael, was destroyed around 10 a.m.
MP for the area Chris Sinckler visited the area and said a house was being prepared for the family at Country Road, St Michael, adding that Jones would be relocated to the Geriatric Hospital.
He also noted that a social officer from the Welfare Department would be assigned to the family. (CM)
