POLICE have reported that Corey Baptiste, who was shot in the head during a football match in Silver Hill, Christ Church, on Saturday night, is in serious but stable condition.
As of yesterday, 27-year-old Baptiste, a Parish Land, Christ Church resident, who was shot while attending a five-a-side football final around 9:30 p.m., had undergone two surgeries.
Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch told the DAILY NATION that investigations regarding the matter were ongoing.
When contacted, Baptiste’s mother said she wanted “to be left alone. It is hard dealing with this situation”. (AH)
