Careful shoppers

Prices look high and money is low, but the urge to spend and spruce up for Christmas is still evident in the crowds of bustling shoppers in and around Bridgetown.
According to sales people, the shoppers – men and women – are more cautious in their hunt for gifts, decorations and household items.
Countering complaints about high prices, one sales clerk said: “I would not say they are all that high; things only look that way as money is not flowing because of the recession. But we are still getting by.” (RL)
