FOR MANY BARBADIANS Christmas would not be the same without poinsettias.
Actually, there was a time they were readily seen blooming in many a garden, often accompanied with ‘snow on the mountain’ – making an irresistible floral attraction.
These days though both are hard to find, and are rarely found blooming together in one garden.
At this time of the year, many Bajans enjoy decorating their homes with the dark green leaves and bright red flowers of poinsettias.
And Nelcia Nicholls of Nature Care found out just how popular they are this Yuletide season. Just two weeks after importing two shipments of the seasonal plant, she sold out.
