Rickeela’s dream bedroom

Christmas came a few days early for six-year-old Rickeela Barrow.
The little darling, who is physically and mentally challenged, is suffering from spina bifida, a congenital disorder that results in the incomplete development of the spinal cord.
Last Tuesday, wheelchair-bound Rickeela was beaming with delight after going into her bedroom to find it had undergone an extreme makeover with new furniture and a three-dimensional wall mural featuring her favourite television character.
It was all done by Yellowbreast Projects, an organization that helps children who are physically or mentally challenged or terminally ill, so that children can enjoy their own share of happiness.
Here, Rickeela is all excited in her new room with dad Ricardo Barrow and mum Karen Chandler.
