Bull shock

It was a sad and disturbing Christmas for St John farmer Nigel Daniel.
Thieves not only slaughtered his 1 700-pound bull but mockingly left him a gift of one leg and about 15 pounds of meat near the tree where the animal was tethered.
“I feel so distraught,” Daniel told the MIDWEEK?NATION yesterday as he related how he discovered his shocking loss at about 8 a.m. on Christmas Day.
The $4 000 bull, which he was preparing to exhibit at Agrofest in February, was fine when Daniel checked on it on Christmas Eve night at Bath Land where he lives.
Daniel believes the thieves struck while he was at a midnight church service.
