The Globe Cinema, historically known for its presentation of some of Hollywood’s most loved movies, will have a new purpose from Sunday.
Apostle T. Wayne Bishop will be the star attraction as he transforms the movie house into the headquarters of his Revelation Word Christian Centre with its first church service.
Negotiations are in progress for the purchase of the Roebuck Street, Bridgetown property, which is expected to carry a price tag in the millions of dollars.
Bishop, who quit as head of the New Covenant Ministries at Country Road, St Michael, four years ago amidst controversy, said his hands were clean of any wrongdoing and vowed to make his new church one of Barbados’ best centres of worship.
