The planned sit out by teachers represented by the Barbados Secondary Teachers Union (BSTU) from lunch-time today is underway.
But the original plan was for teachers to conduct meetings in the lunchrooms hit a stumbling block for some.
Teachers from Harrison College, Queen’s College and Alleyne were forced to join their colleagues at Alexandra at the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union Belleville, St Michael headquarters after they were informed via posted memo, and meetings with the indivdual principals that they would not sanction a union meeting after lunch-time.
