CBC apologises to public

The Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) has apologised to its audience, sponsors and other stakeholders for the unfortunate incident which occurred during the broadcast of the Evening News, yesterday evening.
During the weather news segment, audio which can be deemed offensive was unintentionally aired.
On the Corporation’s website, management said it has already started investigating the incident so that the matter can be dealt with appropriately.
Acting General Manager, Rod London has stated that every step will be taken to ensure there is no recurrence of this nature.
He added that CBC is very cognizant of its role as the national broadcaster and of the acceptable standards of broadcast and reassured the audience that the matter was not being taken lightly.
