The following is the Four Point Plan of parents of students at the Alexandra School. They plan to present plan to the Ministry of Education with a signed petition tomorrow morning.
Whereas, the majority of parents have expressed disgust with the present state of affairs at The Alexandra School, be it resolved that the following “Four Point Plan” be adopted by The Alexandra School PTA:
1. Every effort should be made to implore the 30-odd teachers who have absented themselves from school and withheld their services from the students of the school, be invited to return to school in a teaching capacity, if possible without penalty for their absence.
2. Should the said teachers refuse to return to the school immediately, representation should be made to the Ministry of Education for temporary replacement teachers to be sent to the Alexandra School immediately and if necessary parents/ guardians or relatives who are qualified to assist in teaching be allowed to do so. As a first step, assistance should be sought from suitable persons currently enrolled at the Erdiston Teachers Training College.
3. For each form, no less than two parents should be mandated to organize a system which will oversee the state of progress of each child in each form.
4. Having been given every avenue to air their grievances in the event that the Principal is not transferred or the affected teachers continue to refuse to teach after all formal hearings by the relevant Government Ministries, the Parents are seeking to have all such teachers replaced and transferred to other schools or areas of the Public Service as they so choose.

Every effort should be made to commence the aforementioned with seven days.
