The Barbados Secondary Teachers Union has been forced to call off today’s protest march.
Teachers from the Alexandra School, who came armed with placards and walking shoes were told a short while ago that police did not have the required three days notice about the march, and that they could not proceed to the Chief Personnel Officer Gail Atkins’ Culloden Road offices and picket there as planned.
The decision has been made for the executive officers of the BSTU and some teachers to drive over to the Culloden Road offices and deliver the letter.
