CBC: Breach in policy reason for audio

The Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC)  says “appropriate action” has been taken after investigations into the airing of inappropriate audio.
It was just over a week ago that the CBC’s audience was exposed to audio which was deemed inappropriate.
A statement on the station’s website noted that the “unintentional airing of unsuitable audio during a segment of the Evening News resulted from a breach in corporate policy”.
Acting General Manager Rod London said management carried out a thorough and intensive investigation.
He further noted that the Corporation has existing policies and procedures intended to guide employees in maintaining the highest acceptable standards for the broadcast industry.
The CBC apologised to the public and other stakeholders. (PR)
