Julian “Michael Jackson” White has dominated road tennis for the past ten years, racking up 21 titles and capturing every tournament possible with a crouching style, vast repertoire of shots and an almost perfect game.
The flamboyant White used the court at Dover last Sunday night to add the missing jewel to his well decorated crown by spearheading St Michael to the National?Sports Council’s Inter-Parish “A” Class title.
The spectators were truly entertained by the battle between White and Anthony “Ears” Mitchell as both players provided some classy shots and unbelievable counter attacks as it seemed that only the fitness factor would separate such fine combatants.
The supporting cast of players like Jeffrey “Barah” Best, Dave Arindell, Peter Moore, Ian Yearwood, Simon Bayne, Cardinal Beckles, Golbourne Bailey, Kerry Francis, Gary Thomas, Emar Edwards, Darius Gaskin, Kim Holder and Sandra Bailey attracted and entertained a host of new and seasoned fans live at Dover and on national television.
Here, the stylish White playing a forehand return enoute to taking the title.
