The Nation’s Associate Editor, Sherie Holder-Olutayo takes a look at what’s trending today.
The hot issue today concerns Avinash Persaud who has accused Opposition Leader Owen Arthur of playing politics with the Four Seasons project.
Arthur has been highly critical of the $60 million being invested by the Barbados’ National Insurance Scheme (NIS).
Our online readers weighed in on this matter:
Youelle Hamilton: This  using the NIS money I think it is foolishness becaue they have a lot of unemployed people out there who are waiting on money and they ain’t get none as yet. And they want to use the money to do what . ”NONESENSE.”
Andre Petite: This is a win or lose situation here. NIS money in this and pensioners will not be pleased when they can’t get their money.
Rikutefu Patio: I am in total agreement with Persaud. Arthur knows full well that once he and his buddies keep noise about the Four Seasons project and some of us join in, the sounds of fear will drive away will be investors. Further down the road if he wins back the government he can charm his way back into those same investor’s pocket and get the project going so that he and him alone will take the glory.
