Controversy over the nomination?of?Barbados Labour Party (BLP) Member of Parliament Rawle Eastmond moved from the St James North constituency to the floor of Parliament and the social media network yesterday.
And once again, former Opposition Leader Mia Mottley was in the thick of it.
Twenty-four hours after Mottley’s proposal for a meeting with former Prime Minister Owen Arthur was rejected, Speaker of the House of Assembly Michael Carrington had to ask Opposition MPs to lower their voices after three of them were apparently engrossed in discussion about the matter, which was reported on the Front Page of yesterday’s DAILY NATION.
Mottley entered the chamber at 12:05 p.m., and shortly after, tapped Eastmond on the shoulder before both exited.
