Destiny?
Queen’s College know they have a date with Springer first.
Esther Ochieng had a game-high 12 and Ashlee Daniel added 11 as QC secured the Shirley Girls’ basketball postseason’s third seed via Tuesday’s 43-12 drubbing of Alexandra in their regular season finale at home.
The win was their fourth in as many games, ensuring the former queens (6-2) will play Springer (7-1) and avoid reigning seven-time champs Garrison (8-0) in next week’s first round.
The unbeaten Dayrells Road lasses are set to take on Combermere (5-3) in the play-offs’ first round at the Wildey Gymnasium on Thursday ahead of the QC-Springer showdown.
