Three charged for theft

Three men were arrested and jointly charged for for 24 counts of theft which occurred across the island between July 2011 and February 2012.
They are Michael Fernando Bullen, 38, of King Street, St. Michael, Lee Sebastian Medford, 31, of Phillips Drive, Pine, St. Michael; and  Mervin Antonio Niles, 24, of Bulters Avenue, Gall Hill, Christ Church.  The property recovered included generators, welding plants, power washers, hedge trimmers, tools, weed trimmers, and electric drills.
 The subjects appeared at the Oistins Magistrate Court today and pleaded guilty to 23 of the 24 charges. 
 Medford and Bullen were sentenced to a total of 4 ½ years in prison, while Niles was sentenced to 24 months in prison.
 The remaining case has been referred to the Holetown Magistrate Court, for Wednesday February 22nd, 2012.
