A?TEMPORARY?SOLUTION has been found to the watercourse problem in Holetown, St James.
Members of the Holetown Festival Committee and the Sunset Crest Property Owners Association moved with haste to fix the problem after it was highlighted by the WEEKEND?NATION Friday.
With the assistance of staff from the Drainage Unit of the Ministry of Transport and Works, four pieces of wood were placed as a temporary bridge so that the thousands of patrons expected to attend the street fair and parade today ould be able to easily cross the trench.
“This is a temporary measure so that persons attending the last two days of the annual festival can be safe in crossing the watercourse and patronize the various stalls that are located at the festival,” Bernard Philips, co-producer of the Holetown Festival, said yesterday. (RL)
