There was a lot of activity at the Holetown Festival’s 36th annual Banks/Coca-Cola Street fair and parade today.
The event started with the parade of 50 vintage cars, followed by the Barbados Cadet Corp band.
Visitors, in particular, were also impressed and tuned into the sweet sounds of calypso music, played by the impressive Barbados Regiment Band.
A royal salute was given by 2011 Queen Of The Festival Shakeria Maynard and the contestants for the 2012 pageant, scheduled to be held tomorrow night at St James Secondary School. (AH)
