‘Kicking’ teen out on bail

After spending less than a week on remand, the teenager accused of kicking a lawman in his testicles was released on bail by the High Court yesterday.
Rasheda Akeela Agard of Goddard’s Road, St Stephen’s Hill, Black Rock, St Michael, will walk into the District “A” Magistrates’ Court unescorted tomorrow after Justice William Chandler released her on $1 500 bail.
She was represented by attorneys Andrew Pilgrim and Mohia Ma’at during the in-camera bail hearing, while Senior Crown Counsel Elwood Watts represented the Crown.
The 19-year-old mother of one is accused of assaulting and resisting Constable Leroy Scott on February 16. She had been remanded by Magistrate Graveney Bannister, after pleading not guilty to the offences. (HL-E)
