Man fatally struck by vehicle while fleeing scene of a robbery in Wildey

POLICE are on the scene investigating reports that a man was fatally struck by a vehicle while trying to flee the scene of a robbery along Wildey Road, St. Michael around 9 p.m.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred after the attempted robbery of a business along Wildey Road.
Shots were reportedly fired and the two men escaped on foot heading down Wildey Main road.
However, one of the robbers was fatally struck by a vehicle as he tried to make good his escape. 
Police have the area cordoned off and investigations are ongoing. (JS)
