THE?POPULAR?annual BHTA 20/20 Cricket Tournament bowls off from 10 a.m. today with defending champions Bougainvillea looking to stave off challenges from ten other hotels.
Bougainvillea will battle The Crane at Banks Breweries at 2 p.m., which will follow the match between Ocean Hotels and the returning Butterfly. The third game in Zone A pitches the Hilton against Accra in Queen’s Park.
Zone B action will be staged at Hoyte’s Village with a double header beginning at 10 a.m., Almond taking on Coral Reef before Fairmont meet Banks. The other team in the five-team Zone B are newcomers Brydens, who have drawn a bye.
As part of the Bsrbados Hotel & Tourism Association’s 60th anniversary, the competition has received support from Cricket Legends of Barbados and one of the Legends, Vasbert Drakes, has indicated that a number of their more illustrious members would be turning out to support the team and players.
