FLYING FISH & COU COU: The sound of silence

A?group of people who knew something others did not know are feeling vindicated right now.
The problem is that given the nature of the incident they cannot gloat about it.
Cou Cou was told that some leading lights of this group tried to tell the doubting Thomases in their clan that their colleague was not well at all and should be encouraged to leave the group quietly.
However, for reasons best known to these doubting Thomases, they kept noise on behalf of this colleague.
The colleague did not play dead either. That individual was vehement in their protest about how they were being treated.
Even when certain unsavoury factors involving this colleague came to light, which were said by those with medical expertise to be consistent with the illness thought to be afflicting this person, this was not realised by any of these backers.
Now that the whole thing has blown up for everyone to see, the backers and others are quiet.
As for those who really wanted their colleague out because they knew of the individual’s illness, they are quiet too.
Apparently, this is one time silence is golden.
In a spot of bother
Have the nefarious actions of a certain big shot landed him in the most embarrassing situation of his life?
Cou Cou was informed that this person was caught in a compromising position with another well-known indiviual of the same sex.
Word of the supposed liasion has gone viral via BB, and has portrayed this person in a most unflattering light.
Those who know the individuals have however poured cold water on the whole story saying that  this was another example of the foolish talk that takes place when the silly season rolls around.
Cou Cou concurs with this view too.
Case of class prejudice?
The pressure being placed on a politico to say how much money was spent on a certain event and how the individual at the centre of it received, is now being viewed as a class thing.
As far as the politico is concerned, the questions are only being asked because the individual is still regarded in a negative light by certain sections of this society because of where they originated from.
The politico feels that in the same way that similar arrangements between big-ups and his people are usually regarded as nobody’s business, this individual’s case should be treated in the same way.
Change goin’ come
Workers, big and small, in a certain Government ministry are anxiously awaiting anticipated changes.
Sources in the know told Cou Cou the man in charge is not making any sport, and intends to recommend shifts to teach everyone a lesson for their failure in a recent matter.
The players involved have already been summoned to meetings with the chief who is determined to show his own boss he can do much better in class than he did last time around.
Maybe he is hoping to return to those good old industrious days.
Ready for the race
It is early days yet, but already some gung-ho people are predicting victory next time around.
In fact, they are suggesting they can ring the bell early and still bring home the bacon. They have been predicting that the few losses that may occur will not be enough to sweep them out.
Of course their opponents are making their own predictions too and are saying they intend to send them back when only two players were eligible for a certain place.
