Tiger-print flags fluttered proudly in the breeze heralding the unprecedented double crowning of Williams Industries West Terrace as the curtain came down on the 2012 Pine Hill National Primary Schools’ Athletic Championships yesterday at the National Stadium.
The Tigers, as they are affectionately known, upstaged defending champions KFC So Good Christ Church Girls’ by two points to win with 86 on the tenth anniversary of the meet. Charles F. Broome and Bayley’s were joint third on 76.
However, the roar was even louder among the boys where they ran away with the title, scoring 162 points. Charles F. Broome were a distant second on 119, holding off Milton Lynch by a mere four points.
