SOCIAL SCENE: Dining and dancing after squash games

American hardball squash enthusiast Dwight Platt treated local squash players and a host of other guests to a rare feast of play by some of the world’s leading hardball doubles players at his Green Monkey hardball doubles court located at his Sandy Lane home last weekend.
After the rare display of exhibition matches by top players from Australia and the United States, guests enjoyed an evening of cocktails and dancing.
Acting Governor General Elliott Belgrave, Chief Justice Marston Gibson, Justice Sandra Mason, veteran squash administrators Craig Archer and Orson Simpson, Orson’s son former number one ranked player, Shawn and Barbados’ squash-playing brothers Rhett, Gavin and Bryant Cumberbatch, were among the guests.
