Vauxhall Primary School has found a unique way to teach pupils – using kites.
At first glance, it may look like a fun art and craft session but teacher Peter Best said it was much more than that.
“This helps them to learn about triangles, division and measurements. Every year, we experiment with this sort of thing and this year is no different except now we’re allowing more classes to participate,” he said.
“We don’t allow them to fly the kites too far to cause problems and we don’t stake out the kites. We take them down after lunch,” he added.
As for the results, he said the children were learning and very excited about making kites.
