Throughout the school term they did much badge work, and they were justly rewarded with a day of fun yesterday.
Twenty-eight girls from the Blossoms, Brownies and Guides of the St Luke’s Brighton School, along with Guider Jennifer King, enjoyed a day of horseback riding at Carrington Riding Stables Inc.
King said: “The girls are doing a lot of badge work through the term; so we always give them an end of term treat.”
Each girl got the chance to get up close to the animals and ride one of the horses at the stable, and enjoy the nature trails.
Here, stable owner Patrick Croney holds the horse steadily so some of the little ones can get close enough to touch its mane.
