Police have arrested and charged 28-year-old Cyenta Jozefzoon, a Surinamese national residing in Belgium for possession of a controlled drug, trafficking, possession with intent to supply and importation. She was arrested and charged whilst at the Grantley Adams International Airport on April 2, 2012.
At 10:05 am, Jozefzoon arrived by air in transit to Belgium. Her luggage was searched by the Customs and Excise Department personnel and a quantity of cocaine weighing six (6) pounds was discovered contained in walnuts and peanuts in her luggage.
Jozefzoon is expected to appear at the District B Magistrate Court today, Tuesday April 3, 2012.
