Gall Hill out, Ellerton on course

One of the?favoured football teams in the annual Barbados Cup – Gall Hill – were booted out of the Under-17 competition yesterday, but the footballers from Ellerton are on course to lift the Under-19 title.
Whereas Ellerton romped to their third straight win by beating the Pine/Wildey Academy 1-0 and will play Spooners Hill for Under-19 glory at 10:30 a.m. at Harrison College today, Gall Hill suffered a major upset when they were beaten by a resurgent Cosmos side 3-0.
For Spooners Hill, who lost 3-0 to Ellerton on the opening day of the tournament, the return of three key injured players should provide the impetus to come out 2012 champions.
Ellerton, on the other hand, have scored six goals while conceding only one with St Leonard’s Boys’ athlete Kevin Barton in the goal bars.
