Artist Marilda Weatherhead  and her husband, businessman, Bernie Weatherhead threw open the doors of their spacious art gallery, Frangipani Art Studio, at Sugar Cane Club Hotel, Maynards, St Peter  last Sunday, to display some fabulous pieces of art.
Some of the works on display were by Marilda, Norma Farmer, Laura Ward, Laura Maria Ward, Yasmin Vigcarrondo, Nancy Melendez, Luisa Richmond, Robert Campbell and Jada Sealy – among others.
Scores of art lovers and specially invited guests gathered to view and purchase many of the beautiful various art forms.
Among the displays were some exotic pieces of sculpture – wooden, clay and ceramic. These were strategically placed alongside colourful oil, water colour and charcoal designed paintings each depicting their own story.
The art show and cocktail function was attended by a wide cross section of persons, who no doubt thoroughly enjoyed meeting and mingling with the artists on hand.  (CH)
