Gang alert

THE REGIONAL SECURITY SYSTEM (RSS) is taking an active interest in gangs across the region.
Word of this from the organization’s deputy regional security coordinator Major Horace Kirton, who revealed a study was under way looking at youth and the kinds of gangs in various Caribbean jurisdictions.  
“That study is in its infancy at the moment. We have an officer working on that and we hope we will be able to produce something on that in the near future.  
“People tend not to want to talk about gangs but if you are honest, you know that they do exist and we can only try and find out where they are,” he said.
