Recently, AS I listened to de OCM Network News pun de Starcom Network, I heard that in relation to a certain murder investigation that a man was “assisting the police”.
A few months ago there was a story raging out of one of de Leeward Islands that the police there had their sights on an eminent and highly respected Caribbean man and that they had deemed him “a person of interest”!
A few weeks after dat I heard de fella dat likely to face Obama fuh de presidency of the United States in November put he foot in he mouth and say dat he was not concerned ’bout de poor in Amurca and over de next few days he spin doctors in de Republican party come out saying “he misspoke”!
Now what de hell is misspoke? How yuh mean he was tired and had been making many speeches and he just slip? Slip? You mean more he fall down and burst he backside and wunnah trying to do damage control? What de hell is misspoke?
Did he say it? Nuh matter how tired de Vendor is, I could never say dat and yuh got to question de motives of a very, very rich man who want de most powerful job on earth when he say he not concerned ’bout poor people in Amurca!
And den de funny people in Antigua – a person of interest? Wunnah had Stanford up dey fuh all dem years, de man did virtually own everything including de Airport. Wunnah and nuff others all over de Caribbean use to genuflect before he and wunnah even knight he and get de Queen to tell he, “Rise, Sir Allen,” and he wasn’t “a person of interest” even though he was running a scheme milking billions of dollars from people all over de Globe but he wasn’t a person of interest. But dem want to suddenly so pull down a man who is respected all over de Commonwealth.
Dem fuh real? What exactly is de definition of a “person of interest”? I mean, de Vendor had many a young lady over de years and I woulda definitely like to interview some of dem. Does dat qualify a “person of interest”?
And over de years I was sometimes lucky to interview many a young lady but clearly must have “misspoke” because matters did not come to a head! And den there is de matter of “assisting de police”. De trouble wid de people “assisting de police” is dat dem does usually end up being charged fuh murder or some serious crime, whichin I does find confusing!
Is it dat a man does feel remorse, he conscience suddenly prick he and head to de nearest police station and ask fuh de sergeant and say, “I know something ’bout de murder and I want to assist?”
Or is it dat by de time he get pick up by de police and wee wee heself three times and poopsy in he pants that he does holler, “I want to assist wunnah!”
Check it out de next time Starcom got a murder story and somebody in police custody and see iffing before de man get charge yuh don’t hear how he assisting de police! You really feel dat a man dat know he commit murder and who gine face 25 to 30 years in jail does hang round so he assisting de police?
