Wood: Let’s move on from Stuart

STRESSING?that Barbados was faced with a crisis of leadership, former Government minister Anthony Wood has described Prime Minister Freundel Stuart as a “slow thinker”.
Speaking Sunday night at the Barbados Labour Party’s (BLP) St George North constituency branch’s nomination of incumbent and MP Gline Clarke, Wood said that Stuart had been a disappointment in office.
“Hope has to be restored to the people of Barbados, and if a country ever needed to move beyond this crisis of leadership, Barbados needs to move from where we are and to move from where we are with . . . haste. The country will never, ever progress if we cannot get past this crisis in leadership.
“We [in St Philip] know what a poor representative he was; we know what a slow thinker he is . . . and when you put all of that together, we ought not to be surprised that this country is going nowhere fast.”
