LIME after 3rd Masters title

LIME will be seeking a hat-trick of titles in the G4S Masters cricket competition.
They qualified for the final for the third straight year after completing a comfortable nine-wicket victory over Barbados Defence Force (BDF) in the semi-finals at Paragon yesterday.
Their opponents in Tuesday’s final at the Brewery will be Banks, who defeated Police by six wickets in the other semi-final at Queen’s Park.
LIME, chasing a modest 122, lost only one wicket in racing to the target in 18 overs.
Dave Estwick led the chase with an unbeaten 78 that included five sixes.
It was a more competitive affair in the other match where Police’s 181 for eight in 33 overs was built around Curtis Alleyne’s 69 off 71 balls against a Banks attack in which there were two wickets apiece for a quartet of bowlers.
Banks’ response was highlighted by Gabriel Parris’ unbeaten 85 off 75 balls that contained nine fours and a six. (HG)
