Big black clouds covered Farley Hill at 6:39 pm. Then the rain came down hard and Hill turned into a scene of people scampering for cover.
Women slipped and fell in the nonsensical towering heels and height-defying wedges. The ominous weather probably matched the mood of some who were disappointed at the no-show of band Third World.
While at the venue German visitors said they came to the Hill just for the band. Freddie Hill who is in charge of the artiste side said that he was trying to get them a flight to Puerto Rico and then Barbados but no luck. He says the band will be on radio live Monday to formally apologise to fans.
