Innovation the key to success

BARBADOS’ ECONOMIC ADVANCEMENT HINGES on its ability to produce goods and services at competitive prices, says Minister of Commerce and Trade Senator Haynesley Benn.
The minister further believes the ability to formulate and develop new and improved processes and products is also vital.
He made the suggestion during the 2011/2012 National Innovation Competition Awards, hosted by the National Council for Science and Technology (NCST), at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre on Saturday night.
Benn noted that the key to Barbados’ prosperity was increasing productivity, “. . . which is producing more with less . . . .”
