Bajan teams on target

BARBADIAN SHOOTERS competed successfully at the recent tenth annual Independence Shooting Tournament hosted by the St Lucia Shooting Association.
Barbados fielded two four-man teams among the 38 competitors and tasted success in all categories to bring home the majority of the medals and trophies up for grabs.
The “A” team, comprising Rodney Clarke, Adrian Marshall, Charles Davis and Kevin Grant, emerged champions. The “B”?team, made up of Ryan Best, David Elcock, Cyprian John and Colin Riley, finished second.
Clarke took top honours in four categories and third place in another while Marshall topped two divisions and had two second places.
Best also secured two wins and two third places.
The tournament was held from April 27 to 29 and also attracted teams from the St Lucia Air and Sea Port Police, The Marksmanship and Personal Defence Club, The Bordelais Prison Service, the St Lucia Police Service and St Lucia shooting clubs. (HG)
