Improving fast-bowling allrounder Jason Holder showed his worth as a batsman yesterday, completing the first century of the rebranded Barbados Cricket Association’s 2012 Division One Championship for Counterpoint Wanderers.
Restarting on 85 not out, six-footer Holder, whose bowling has superceded his batting  in recent years, went on to make 149, laced with 16 fours and five sixes, in his team’s score of 314-4 declared against TeleBarbados Carlton in their game at Dayrells Road.
At stumps, Carlton, undermined by seamer Diego Stuart (4-16 and 3-14) were struggling on 99-6 in their second innings after being forced to follow on when they folded for 138 in the first innings.
