The Royal Barbados Police Force is investigating an accident which occurred yesterday around 6.15 pm on John Beckles Drive, Bridgetown, close to the junction with River Road.
Clifton Glasgow, 80, of Taylors Gap, Martindales Road, St. Michael was struck by a route taxi driven by Clifton Gooding of Ruby, St. Philip. Glasgow suffered head injuries and is currently in the Intensive Care Units of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
He is reported to be in a very serious condition.
The police is asking that anyone who witnessed the incident to visit the Central Police Station, or contact 430-7630; 7676 or 7168. (CM)
