A writer’s worth

“Through their masterful use of words, they enable us to come to terms with, and to put into perspective the often confusing realities of our existence,” Prime Minister Freundel Stuart said of the contribution of Caribbean writers at the launch of the BIM Literary Festival And Book Fair at the Walcott-Warner Theatre last Wednesday evening.
And among those honoured were three outstanding sons of the soil, who helped to shape the thinking of the Caribbean: Austin “Tom” Clarke, George Lamming and Kamau Brathwaite.
