There was a joyful noise yesterday as those gathered at the Sanctuary Empowerment Centre in Country Road, St Michael, participated in a lively service to mark the start of Barbados Gospelfest 2012.
Presiding Bishop Marlon Husbands (left) and his wife Reverend Suzette Husbands set the stage for the “celebrations” as they enthusiastically participated in the service.
The week of activities will feature some of the leading local and international names in gospel music.
The festival, which begins in earnest tomorrow evening at St Mary’s Church in Bridgetown, will end on Sunday with One Awesome Day at Farley Hill National Park.
