Scotiabank’s garden party last weekend was billed as an early Mother’s Day celebration, and both mothers and fathers supported the effort, making it a sold out affair.
The event, hosted at the bank’s house “Pine Lodge” on Pine Hill, St Michael was organized to raise funds for the Barbados Cancer Society’s mobile breast-screening unit and offered a variety of food and activities to attract the fancy of all ages.
There were sweet and savoury dishes, teas and homegrown entertainment by Scotiabank staff. The dulcet tones of the St Leonard’s Boys’ School Choir filled the air while at poolside an artist painted carricatures of patrons.
